GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A death investigation is underway Monday morning after a body was found in Greenville County.
The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call after 11 p.m. regarding a person possibly on fire near North 6th Street and Woodside Avenue.
Upon arrival, deputies located a man that had apparently been burned. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Greenville County Coroner’s Office has not revealed the man’s identity at this time.
Officials said they are investigating the incident to determine what may have led to the manner and cause of death.
The death is an ongoing investigation by the GCSO and the Greenville County Coroner’s Office.
