(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The 2024 Paris Paralympics kicked off on Wednesday, Aug. 28, and if you can’t make the trip to Europe, don’t worry because the United States Olympic & Paralympic Museum (USOPM) in Olympic City USA has you covered.
Through Sept. 8, visitors to the USOPM can meet Paralympic athletes, enjoy live coverage of the games, order food from Flame Café, and watch daily artifact demonstrations that bring the rich history of the Paralympic games to life.
“It’s important to celebrate the Paralympic Games as much as we celebrate the Olympic Games, because everybody has worked so hard to get where they’re at,” said Annie Rosack, Marketing and Programing Manager at the USOPM. “And I think that we focus on all the inclusivity and diversity here at the museum and it’s important because we want to make sure everyone has access and ability to do the things they want to do.”
The museum is open from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily, and ticketing information can be found at the website linked above.
