When is Sundowns’ next match?

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Manqoba Mngqithi has enjoyed a solid start with three league wins and two wins in the CAF Champions League.

MAMELODI SUNDOWNS NEXT MATCH

Following last Saturday’s 2-1 win over Kaizer Chiefs at the FNB Stadium, Kabo Yellow will take a long break. Due to the MTN8 final this weekend and the FIFA Break, Sundowns’ next match will be in the Carling Knockout last 16 in late October. The fixtures draw will be revealed next week.

KHULISO MUDAU

The first six games of the season, including CAF and MTN8 games, and Mudau started zero times. The 29-year-old from Musina came on against Kaizer Chiefs to deliver a fine output.

“Ja, no, man, it was nice to have Mudau back,” Mngqithi said via iDiski Times.

“Like I said, even before, they are still going to come back and help us a lot, and I think today was the right time to bring him, and he did very well.

“He proved the quality that he has no doubt defensively he is one of the best players you can ever have.

“In one against one, I think, he is in a class of his own, and it was pleasing to see him perform the way he has performed today, and I was very happy,” the Sundowns tactician concluded.

SUPERSPORT UNITED SIGN ABUBEKER NASSIR

Mamelodi Sundowns and SuperSport United have completed another deal. Abubeker Nassir has moved to Matsatsantsa a Pitori.

Following a long term injury and struggle for game time, the 24-year-old Ethiopian has joined SuperSport on a season-long loan deal. The move was confirmed by Sundowns coach Manqoba Mngqithi on Tuesday via iDiski Times.

“Nasir is not at Sundowns at the moment and I think he’s at SuperSport,” he stated after his side’s 4-1 win over Marumo Gallants when asked about Nasir’s whereabouts.

“I thought you should know that.”
